Take a rural location surrounded by fields and woodland in a Cornish valley near Bude, approximately 5,000 revellers of all ages, and three days of incredible live music and what have you got? Leopallooza – one of Cornwall’s most popular summer festivals.
What started out as a party in a field nearly nine years ago has now turned into one of the leading boutique festivals in the South West and the first line-up of music acts for Leopallooza 2014 has now been announced.
Fenech-Soler, Foxes, Brother and Bones, Rae Morris, and The Other Tribe are just some of the acts to be announced this week and there are still more then 60 musicians and DJs yet to be revealed.
Fenech-Soler are no strangers to Leopallooza after playing an energetic set at the festival in 2012, and they have been announced as this year’s headliner act on Saturday night. A hybrid of summery indie, big dance-inflected melodies, and instantaneous hooks with pounding bass lines – the house party soundtrack is in their genes.
Unlike many other multi-day music festivals that are geared towards adult party-goers, Leopallooza is a family-friendly event that is open to any age and includes free camping in the ticket price. There are separate designated family camping and campervan areas available, as well as onsite bars, food outlets, toilets and shower facilities, so once you’ve pitched your tent you won’t need to leave the site all weekend!
Taking place from 1st to 3rd August, 2014, this festival is set to be one of the biggest in Cornwall this summer. Tickets are on sale now.
