Summer seems to have finally arrived, and all thoughts are turning turn to lazy days in the garden, ice cold drinks, and live music. The Roof Gardens in Kensington in central London offers all three of these summer favourites in one place as it launches a series of music events taking place over the next few months.
Perched 100-feet high above the bustling city, the Roof Gardens provide a tranquil sanctuary for those summer days and nights. Home to fully grown oaks and fruit trees, a flowing stream stocked with fish and wildlife, and four resident flamingos, visitors can sit back with a chilled drink, fresh food, and a range of diverse tunes.
Proms on the Roof
Kicking off the summer season is Proms on the Roof on 31st May, 2017, which will feature a night of music from up and coming classical musicians from the prestigious Royal College of Music. Taking place on selected evenings in May and August, Proms on the Roof provides the perfect way to spend a balmy evening, set within a green oasis high above the streets of London. As well as classical music, there will be a selection of delicious food ranging from gourmet burgers, to fresh strawberries and creams, and the bar will serve cold beers, wines and zingy cocktails.
Tickets cost £29.50 and can be purchased from Design my Night. Each ticket includes a welcome cocktail and the Proms take place from 6.30pm.
Next up at the Roof Gardens is the Reverb festival series on 17th June and 15th July, with live music, comedy; crafted cocktails, outdoor garden games and delicious summer BBQ food. London’s Raye will be bringing her electro-pop hits to the roof garden on 17th June. The singer came third in BBC Sound of 2017, and she has collaborated on huge hits including ‘You Don’t Know Me’ with Jax Jones and Jonas Blue’s 2016 single ‘By Your Side’.
On 15th July, Karen Harding will headline at Reverb, performing her top 10 debut single ‘Say Something’, alongside her recent dance hit ‘Sweet Lies’ (with Drum & Bass star, Wilkinson) and lead single ‘Good for Me’ from Producer Giorgio Moroder.
Tickets for Reverb events costs £25 and can be purchased here.
Guests who want the VIP experience can upgrade and purchase limited Backstage VIP tickets for £55. Tickets include access to VIP Areas including the Backstage Bar, as well as a complimentary item from the snack BBQ.
The Roof Gardens and Babylon Restaurant sit on the 6th floor above Kensington High Street. The Clubhouse is also located on the 6th floor and hosts events for up to 500 people, and on Friday and Saturday evenings, it turns into the award-winning Private Member’s club.
