We all remember Gabrielle Aplin’s mesmerising Power of Love cover from the John Lewis Christmas TV advert last year, and one year on, the talented singer has captured the hearts of the nation and announced that she will be heading to the South West as part of her UK headline tour.
Originally from Wiltshire, the 21-year-old singer has recently released her fourth single Home from her second album English Rain, and she will be playing live at the Great Hall in Exeter on Monday, 18th November, 2013.
After a busy summer, playing alongside Ray Davies and Elvis Costello at the ‘Best Of British Songwriters’ event in Hyde Park and performing in front of thousands at Glastonbury, the folk singer will be kick-starting her own tour at the end of October.
The songstress is no stranger to Cornwall and earlier this year she played at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth. Though she won’t be coming as far as Cornwall again this year, she will be supported at the Exeter gig by the 18-year-old Cornish singer, Polly Money, who supported world-famous band Muse in Paris this summer, and India Bourne, a talented singer/pianist who has been playing and singing in Ben Howard’s band for the past three years.
Three talented young songbirds in the space of just one evening – guaranteed to be worth a trip over the bridge.
