After a very wet and windy UK winter, the long-awaited arrival of spring has put a bounce in everyone’s step as the countdown begins to this summer and festivals.
If you want to swap your wellies for flip flops and the changeable UK weather for guaranteed sunshine somewhere abroad, then why not head to Croatia for one of Europe’s hottest music festivals.
Taking place in The Garden in the picturesque fishing town of Tisno on the Dalmatian Coast, Soundwave Festival Croatia returns for its sixth year this summer along with an impressive line-up of international DJs, bands and singers.
The festival will take place from Thursday 17th July until Monday 21st July and will be located in a secluded cove near the stunning Krka Waterfalls with a setting provides the perfect backdrop for both performers and festival-goers.
So far, the acts that have been announced to play this year include Mr Scruff, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Madlib, Huey Morgan, Gold Panda, Om Unit, Riot Jazz, Anushka, and many, many more.
During the five-day event, music-lovers will have a choice of venues including a boat, a beach, a seafront live stage, and an open air nightclub with dancing underneath the stars.
Unlike most music festivals, onsite camping isn’t available at Soundwave Festival Croatia, but revellers will be able to choose from a wide range of nearby hotels, B&Bs, and apartments so they will have they chance to explore nearby sights and attractions.
In the run-up to the festival, there have been a series of launch parties happening across the UK and Newquay will be the next town to host a party on 17th April at Koola & Chy Bar in Newquay with music from DJ Proof and Snatch the Wax DJs.
